Samson Silver Bullet Turn-Out Slip-On Mufflers

I am looking at buying Samson silver bullet slip-on mufflers. does anyone know how loud they are? are the obnoxious ? Please let me know.

Sorry, I don't know anything about those specific mufflers. At one time I had Samson's on my '99 with the turnout tips. They were VERY loud. They used a permanent baffle that was really nothing more than a steel screen. No packing of any kind and the baffle was not removable to be packed. The ones you are looking at may be different though.

 

Just looked them up online and they appear to be similar to what I had just with different ends. The Fishtails may have a different sound but I'm thinking they are still going to be loud.

 

One-piece, 3 in. diameter mufflers feature free flowing, low restriction, non-removable baffles, high quality chrome plating and heavy-duty slotted channel brackets.

 

The non-removable baffles tells me that they are indeed going to the the permanent steel baffles and will be loud.

I had the sampson fishtails on my 06, they looked great I really liked the look and quality, but they were way too loud, they didnt last long on my bike. Craig:thumbdown:

I have them and love them, they are a little loud, but got a great sound at crusing speed.
