theostar Posted September 20, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 20, 2010 NOT REALLY NOTICING MUCH CHANGE FROM STAGE 2 TO 3 WITH THE ROADKINGS I TOOK THE STEPS OF OPENING THE OUTLET END BY PUNCHING 4 HOLES INTO THE METAL SURROUNDING THE INNER BAFFLE. SIMILAR TO DRILLING THE INLET END.; USED A POINTED TAPERED TOOL AND DROVE IT IN UNTIL THE HOLE WAS ABOUT 3/8 OR SO IN DIAMETER. TOOK ALL OF 1 MINUTE PER SIDE NOW SOUNDS MUCH BETTER AT ALL SPEEDS, LIKE A GROWL BUT STILL NOT AFTERMARKET LOUD..
Seaking Posted September 20, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 20, 2010 Aftermarket LOUD gets tiring after a while lol.. I had a pair of Larossa downturns that were great for annoying the HD crowds (V4 is LOUD with open pipes) but man, they hurt on you after a good haul.. so I sold them to my buddy.. but now, when the conditions are right I have to signal to him to back away so that I can hear my own radio on my bike! And *I* ride with a pair of Rineharts that sound oh so perfect for the bike.. once they get seasoned in these pipes are sweet!
