VentureBob Posted September 9, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2010 http://www.oysterrun.org/ I know this happens every year, but I am more excited this year as I finaly have a scooter to join the fun. We seem to have a few riders out here in the West, maybe we could work something out so we could meet one day. The actual event is offically only on Sunday but folks start rolling into town on Friday. I hope I get the chance to meet some of the great folks from these forums. Iowawegian Posted September 9, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 9, 2010 Wish we were closer! Looks like a lot of fun! Hopefully, you can get a few others in the area to join in!
dr_bar Posted September 9, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 9, 2010 Never been a fan of the Oyster run, all I've ever heard about is the number of accidents related to it. Whether going to or returning from... There's a whole lot of riders hitting the bars and then their bikes from what I've been told and those two things just don't mix... I've heard of at least two fatalities in recent years as well, so I won't be tempting fate any time soon. 15 to 20,000 bikers for a one or two day event is more than I want to deal with, as it's right out of my comfort zone...
