Rear box............

I know its been discussed here before but I am too lazy to search and really dont have the time to right now, I need to know what year rear box will fit and 83 without modification or maybe just a little of it. I have seen some 83-85 with an 86 box and wondering if its just a simple swap. After all my repair on mine some of the cracks have reappeared since they were repaired and repainted. I hate cracked plastic, and the bigger box would be nice also.

83 and 84 are a direct swap. 85 will work if you get the mounting bracket directly under it and it is larger. 86 and up is not the same but if you get the hardware with it can be done.
