shock absorbers

I'm attaching a pic from one of my current shocks on the sidecar, I need to replace/upgrade these puppies so the wheel will not wear a hole in the sidecar floor (this is a leaner with the wheel centered under the rider's rear). As you can see on the attached pic this shock is 13" O.C. +/-. The shock is also agled about 60 degrees so dampening is diminished. I know that getting a longer shock will give me more clearance.

 

So, unless anyone here has a good set they want to part with that would fit my needs, I will be shopping on E-Bay, what can you tell me I should look for so I don't wind up wasting my money on something way too light for my needs? Or would i be better of to just get a new set?
