Double D Posted October 1, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 1, 2007 What is the difference between a 150/80B 16 tire and a 150/80HB 16? I am getting ready to order an new Avon Venon front tire and don't want to order the wrong one.
kbran Posted October 1, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 1, 2007 "B" is bias belted and "H" is the speed rating. Get the "HB".
Tupperj Posted October 1, 2007 Share #3 Posted October 1, 2007 Double D A quick look at the Avon site shows the H symbol to be a speed rating, in this case up to 130 MPH. Didn't see a mention of the B, but I'd guess it means black wall. You might poke around http://www.avon-tyres.co.uk/motorcycle and see if anything shouts out at you.
