I was just wondering if anyone that has put aftermarket exhaust on or modified the stock mufflers has noticed any reduction of the whinning. Thanks S. SilvrT Posted December 2, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2009 It didn't reduce the whine at all ... but now I hear 2 distinct sounds... the whine, and the bark of the mufflers ... sometimes the mufflers overpower the whine so, I guess the answer is ... the louder the mufflers, the less chance of hearing the whine ... does that make any sense? hmmmmm... straight pipes anyone? Renne Posted December 3, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 3, 2009 Most "all" whining will stop when you run loud pipes, actually, smiles will appear in your windshield and no matter what polish you use it's impossible to erase them.
