barend Posted September 22, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2009 Anyone know what the maximum lean angle is before you start dragging boards or pegs (on a 1st gen)? Thanks!

camos Posted September 22, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 22, 2009 I thought the Venture Royale came with all the goodies known to Man. Mine is missing the heel angle meter. How will I know how much it's leaning over so I can make sure I don't scratch my pegs? I'm feeling ripped off here.
barend Posted September 22, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted September 22, 2009 Working on the sidecar mount. (And yes, the wife found out:o , and i'm not in the dog house:cool18:) I bought a leaning sidecar, the trike shop I am dealing with to help with the mounting hardware is telling me that the maximum lean i can get out of the unit before I start crushing things is about 22 degrees. I am afraid that is not enough. I think I ride pretty conservatively and I don't like the notion of scraping pegs but I am afraid 20 some degrees is insufficient. Based on some eyeballing I think 35-40 degrees is about it for the VR. A similar limit on the chair would be nice and some back to basics checking on my side with assorted dowels would seem to indicate that I should be able to get that without damamge to either bike or chair. I.e the shop's CAD/CAM program imput parameters appear to be flawed for this application.
