frankd Posted July 30, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2009 I'm doing some repairs to my 89 to get it ready for a trip in a couple weeks. I noticed a 2 pin connector with nothing hooked to it. It's on the left side and it was sitting on top of the gas tank, under the seat. It has 1 red wire and 1 black. It appears to be tied in to the run between the regulator and the main fuse. Any chance this is where what Yam. calls a "condenser" connects? I mean the filter capacitor that is numbered #72 in the upper right hand corner of the print. Does anybody know where #72 condenser is mounted?? Anybody know what it's value is? Frank D.
MiCarl Posted July 30, 2009 Share #2 Posted July 30, 2009 My 89 has that same connector with nothing plugged into it. Mine wasn't tucked under the seat though - it hangs down along the frame. Everything on my bike seems to work properly.
Dano Posted July 30, 2009 Share #3 Posted July 30, 2009 Aftermarket hookup for heated clothing? The condenser is mounted inside the frame behind the rear exhaust pipes. Dan
CrazyHorse Posted July 30, 2009 Share #4 Posted July 30, 2009 Are you sure its not related to emmissions cannister thats on CA bikes. Though my plug is green. Non CA bikes I believe still have the plugs.
