Well, my right side muffler has broken off. If someone has the "H" pipe for a '83 Venture, I'd be happy to buy it. I can't ride 'til I fix it.

Local muffler shop, MIG weld a sleeve/liner in it???

I am thinking about that, after looking at what all has to be done to replace it....whew.

 

My wifes' cousin has a muffler shop here in town, and he is verrry good. I was thinking about having him cut away the bad stuff, and then welding on a new piece of pipe. It looks like it's only about 6 inches long anyway.

Well, I just pulled my complete exhaust system off. The other side has a very small hole in it also. The material inside the chamber is all broke loose, and rattling around, too.

 

I think I need to just replace the chamber. I found one on Ebay, but it has 3 days left. I see there is a complete exhaust system in our classifieds. I may have to break down and buy the whole setup, but I really don't need it all.

The E-Bay one is a complete header unit. All 4 pieces. Would have been in my parts pile if you hadn't said something.

Well, since it looks like I might not find one today...under $400, I may take it to the shop tomorrow and see if he can rebuild it. I'm holding off on bidding until then.

We have a guy here somewhere that sells ones he makes. Someone here should have that info.

If you need the one on E-Bay let me know. I don't need it right now and have a extra for my scoot.

I still need an exhaust chamber if anyone has one. I messed around too long while I was trying to get this one fixed, and missed the Ebay one by about 3 hours.
