Harley brake light istall

I installed the Harley light fixture to my Venture yesterday and it works great and looks great. But my main brake light does not work now. I checked the bulb and it looks ok and I checked the wiring and every thing is wired correctly. I’m going to get a new bulb later today, but was wondering if anyone has any idea’s.

Not much magic here, it's either the wiring or the bulb.

I'm betting on the wiring, some little thing you're not seeing.

Take a multi meter and check for voltage at the socket.

I did double check the connections. I'm hoping it is the bulb, even if it does look good. I don't see anything wrong. The light comes on and it actually looks bright, but the brake light does not work. The harley fixture works and I have a LED light attached to the bottom of my trunk and it works also. I left my meter at work, so I don't have one here.
