Alternate Headlight Replacement

Is there an alternate headlight of the automotive variety that fits my second gen RSTD and does'nt cost $70?

If you are talking about a replacement bulb for the RSV... $70?? I can say I do not know of a $70 bulb.

Yamaha has them on the website for $9.31

Any H4 bulb will fit, but I would recommend staying with the same wattage to keep from overloading your charging system. 60/55 H4 Halogen Some Stealers will knock you in the head for a replacement bulb for the bike when a H4 is a pretty common thing.

 

Sylvania Silverstar cost about $19 WALMART...Pretty good improvement over the stock bulb...Silverstar Ulta...AutoZone...even better replacement about $25. I replaced mine with an Ultra and it was a great improvement...lot more light to the sides of the road. I removed the stock bulb just looking for more light out front.

PIAA or what ever make some that I think is not DOT approved but is probably the brightest around. They are about $50

If I read your posting correctly, your looking for a replacement headlight lens, not a replacement bulb.

thanks for the help! I was looking at the lamp assy for $65-70, thought it was incancescent. Went with the Sylvania Ultra and what a difference!
