RedRider Posted February 27, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 27, 2009 Remove the plug and move it to the handlebar by the clutch side. You will find the cord to your helmet will no longer get hung up on your left jacket pocket / logo. Just attach the plug and cable with a couple of black zip ties. Steve S Posted February 28, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 28, 2009 I have moved my plug mount several times. I use a double-sided tape to remount the plug holder. What I use is 3M "Exterior Mounting" tape that is available at Wal Mart or Lowes. It is usually found in the paint section with the other tapes. It will hold most anything, but can be removed easily enough if you need to move it. The only thing I cant get it to work on is the Warden's mouth. It just keeps on flapping and flapping and flapping... :stirthepot:
junkyardog53 Posted February 28, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted February 28, 2009 Is there a special way to remove plug from tank?
RoadKill Posted February 28, 2009 Share #5 Posted February 28, 2009 Is there a special way to remove plug from tank? Not sure, but I just started at one end and pulled up. I liked mine on the tank so I just remounted with the tape mentioned above on the bib.
Ponch Posted February 28, 2009 Share #6 Posted February 28, 2009 If you have a stubborn plug, use fishing string too "saw" the adhesive off. Residue can be fairly easily removed with WD40. I used it and it didn't hurt the paint.
