I used to live in the Tallahassee FL area. I originally went there to go to FSU and ended up staying for about 18 years. It's a lovely area and I enjoy going back occasionally to see some of the many friends that still live there.
During the trip this year I decided to see if I could catch up with other Forum members in the area. I sent a PM to jonsmyth (Chuck), oldroadstar (Fred), and TallyVenture (Terry), who were the only “supporting” members in the area (at least that I could find in the Members listing).
I met with jonsmyth for coffee and bagels on Tuesday and then met oldroadstar and TallyVenture for lunch on Wednesday. It was a real treat to meet everyone and I sincerely appreciate that all three took the time and made the effort to meet and visit with me. It's always special to spend time with the Forum Family, and it's certainly extra-special when you get to do it so far from home.
So, my sincere thanks and a tip-of-the-hat to my new Forum friends: jonsmyth, oldroadstar, and TallyVenture. I sure hope to see you again, somewhere down the road.
I was also able to meet with twowheelsonly (Stewart, who lives nearby me here in GA and attends some of our Monthly M&Es) as he was passing through Havana FL on his way to Key West with a group of riders. I hope he's been having a good ride and a great time on that pretty new (to him) BMW.
TERRY
