  1. I installed those bars on my RSTD, makes a word of difference in ride comfort and handling.
  2. Who has installed wind deflectors on a batwing style fairing, it is aftermarket, I do not know what brand? I purchased Memphis shades brand deflectors and the mounting holes to not line with the fairing holes. Am I supposed to drill new holes? Really don't want to do that, any guidance would be appreciated. I love this bike!!! Moo
  3. gut the road king pipes, install 2in (diameter) 12 in (length) baffles combined with KnN air filters, you will see a change in performance. At least I have on my tour deluxe.
  4. I'm running a set of gutted HD Ultra Classic pipes with baffles from 2 in cobra drag pipes off my 1400 Intruder. I put in K/N air filters on Friday now my Tour Deluxe runs in manner that many describe on this forum, outstanding... I really feel the power and performance that is in the belly of this iron beast. Power on command and the exhaust note is not over bearing. Harley pipes are a good cost effective way to go.
  5. I have signed up for the M&E, I hope to meet all the local Venture Riders in the area especially those who are in to wrenching on there own machines as I am. Moo
  6. I am the happy owner of a 2005 RSTD, this will be my first real riding season with this machine. I am looking to have the carbs sync'd with the onset of the riding season coming. Really would love it if someone on the forum near Milwaukee would be willing to walk me through the process, note I do not have the gauges required. I used to sync'd carbs on my 1400 Intruder every season so I do have a little knowledge of the process. This machine sounds like its easier to do however I would love it if someone could walk me thru the process. I'm willing to travel (excuse to take a ride) a few hours if I need to. Any assistance would be appreciated, really not trying to go to the dealer Sabree
  7. I have a 2005 RSTD with a fairing attached. Love this bike however the handlebars are uncomfortable for me, my lower back tends to ache as I fell like I'm hunched over. All of my past bikes have had either mini apes or up to 14 inch apes. I have performed several searches in attempt to research the possibility. My question is with the Fairing attached would there be any issues with the type of bars I can purchase? Is there anyone on the forum that has made this modification and willing to share some information. I'm not going more than 10 in so realistically its a mini ape. Thanks for the help Moo
