engine tickin when on sidestand

Hi I have a 1984 Venture 1200 and have lots of fun, I live in Sweden and have bin driving arround europe the blast thre summers. Now i have a small problem, when it is on sidestand there is a metallic ticking, and ofcourse no second gear working.
