Take it easy on the arm, injures like that take months to heal. Don't be tuff and keep reinjuring it.

Truck! 10 days postop and still recovering, just remember to stay hydrated in this heat, 64oz of water a day!

If you want an airhawk seat I can check a couple of places locally to me and get a price quote. I know a lot of people who swear by real sheepskin, beads, and airhawk. Think it's personal preference. If I had a choice, I would go with the beads or sheepskin. The fake sheepskin cover on our seat does well enough in the heat, just don't get stuck on a wet seat...it's cold! Even on a hot day it's still cold.

You do mean in the classifieds. Right?
Yes, never thought anything different either. I do behave most of the time ya know...

That's why my father in law bought one. With him in a nursing home and the boat needing a 2-3 man crew to load and unload on the trailer there's not a good reason for my mother in law to keep it. Mike really wants it, however its another toy we just don't have room to store. When Mike talks with his mom and we can get pics I'll post it on the site.

When you get to Georgia, let the Ga crowd know. I'm about 2 hours south of Snellville if you need a place to crash and eat. There's probably others closer to Snellville than us. Enjoy the trip!

Hate you are having jet ski troubles....but I can arrange for the sale of an 18ft boston whaler outrage.....I know it won't sink!

As someone who is always a medical puzzle to every doctor I met, I can appreciate the need for lots of phone calls and questions. (6 surgeries in 15 yrs) I envy you having a medical type in the family. My mother was the last one and because my knowledge is 20 yrs old I get looked at funny when I quote something that was relevant then. I really hope this is just a small pothole in your journey and things have a quick turnaround for you.

Well, don't do it!

Which site? Craigslist has had some around Atlanta in the past for sale, but nothing we wanted at the time.

Dan! What did I tell you about behaving? Stay away from the bikes! Now stay in the house like a good man or a road trip is coming and I won't be happy if I miss Vogel over funding....

Oh, they're not all like that. The prices are all over the map.
Gawd help you if you're looking to buy a model that is perceived to have any "desirability" to it.
For example: 1995 VMax (20 year old bike), $5000
Says it's "perfect condition"

He may love the paint job, but ti counts against it for me and makes it NOT perfect condition.
That's a $2000-3000 bike at best.
I had one guy in Moncton adamant his 1985 FJ1100 was worth 3 grand and he was selling it cheap at that. Wouldn't even listen to offers. Sure, it was in nice shape, but high mileage and its his bike so he can ask whatever he wants. Truth of it is that it's was a 1000-1500 bike at best. I ended up buying and 89 FJ1200 (all the updates are done by 89, 41,000 kms) for 850 bucks. Only thing wrong with it is it could use a paint job and a new seat cover. Doesn't need a paint job (someone painted it all pearl white), but could use one. Seat has an itty bitty tear in the top surface. Guy in Moncton still has the bike, still asking over the moon, still looking for a pigeon....
I realize that, it's just here in Georgia there aren't many 1st gens floating around for sale, most of the owners are members on the forum, and we don't have the ability to travel outside the state really. Well I might if my husband wouldn't worry his pretty head about me on trips with a truck and trailer....oh well, such is life.

I wish we lived up that way or had access to the bikes for sale, $400US would be awesome!

Wish you were close by, then you and the hubby could go through the checklist together.

Should be on the center stand....

Hope you heal quickly and it doesn't affect life n plans too much this year or any year. But I know you are glad to be closer to answers.
Anyone into bread machines?

I love making homemade bread in the bread machine, sadly, I can no longer have bread since the gastric bypass. Haven't given up the bread machine yet, but haven't made any bread yet this year. May just keep it to satisfy the hubby.
