  1. Thanks for the update Lou. It sounds like some good news if there is such a thing in this instance. Hopefully we will get to see him but the winter is not the best time for travel. We will keep Gary and his family in our prayers for now and see what happens in the future. John and Dianne

  2. Brad and Lonna: We have you in our thoughts and prayers and glad you are still with us.Not the kind of news any one wants to hear. Thought this was going to be a better year? Take care and hope to see you soon. John and Dianne. Your Canadian friends forever.

  3. Count me in...changed previous plans with my family so I can do this.

Have minivan, room for 6 comfortably (quad seating).

Suggesting this option...let's find a central meeting place in the morning where we can gather to organize the car pool thing on the spot and leave the other vehicles sit for the day...(HomerWatson and 401?)

Failing that; who wants to come with me?

Dave: I sent you a pm as Dianne and I would like to meet up with you.

Just need a time and place?

    Thanks John

  4. VIN is JYAVP09254A000058 and was sold new in Australia on 04/05/2004. (That's the fourth day of May for you Yanks). So, what year model do you reckon I own? I'd like to straighten out the insurance company.

Definetely NOT a 2003. It is a 2004. Many vehicles are Manufactured in the prior year to the actual Model year. For example 2008 models are all ready in production. Your 5 year warranty will expire in May of 2008, 5 yrs from the PURCHASE date.

I have the same bike and it is a 2004 however I would like to correct the warranty stated above. The bike went in service May 2004 so the warranty is good till May 2009 not 2008 (5 years from on road date)

I purchased mine Aug 28 2004 and the warranty runs to Aug 28 2009.

Love the colour.Enjoy the bike. John

P.S. Sorry about the two year warranty. I just read the post you placed at 6:44. The info I have here would be true if you had the bike here.

  5. I have one and it is easy to install but takes a bit of work.

It has to be a clarion DC 625 or 635 and the plug for it is in the front fairing so you have to split it. I put the deck in the trunk and ran the cable to the front. Seat and tank must come off but that is not hard. It is only one cable. Good luck!:080402gudl_prv:

  6. Not that I care about gas mileage on a Bike and not sure why anyone would????:confused24:My cars burn in one day what my bike burns in a weekend. I was getting around 40mpg or (320km to 4.5 gal. of gas)all along but the last two tanks the gas light has been coming on sooner but I still get close to 40 mpg.

Gas light used to come on around 280km but has come on at 265 last two tanks. I have been riding harder and faster so?????? I don't care if it drops to 10mpg as I will still ride.:cool10:

  7. I like the video. It may be geared to Harley but we all ride for a reason. I believe that there is no other feeling in the world when riding and that is what I took from the video. I don't care what you ride or what you wear when you ride as that is a choice that only you can make when you get on the bike.

  8. I just had all the pieces off to get the paint restored. The only was they fit is in the other holes. This looks like it had something like this installed;

    http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/products/modelsscitem500/5/4/83/404/2007/all/102/0/main/0/itemdetail.aspx

but it had a mount in the front of the fender.

That is exactly what is missing. It is an add on and I had to drill that hole when I added the fender Rail to my bike.It is between the fender ornament and the fender top trim. It looks real good with the rail.
