For those of you changing your rear tire in the future I have a new snap ring that I don't need. Part number 99009-52500. Fits Gen 2 only.
Would ask that you really can use it instead of throwing it in the tool box.
Lower 48 only. PM address. Oh! It's free.

Can't wait to see one myself. Add to that I sold my Venture last week and will be delivering it to the new owner tomorrow.
I plan on paying off my Tundra with the money but I could be persuaded.
Better stay out of the dealership.

I have a set of Baron's Bag Slash Nasty Boys for sale for $275 if anyone is interested. They have only been used four days and the baffels are already wrapped with fiberglass. going to put them in classifieds and on ebay tonight.

Buy the way the Chrome on my Roadhouse pipes are perfect. No worry on rust in Arizona if that's a problem.

I actually emailed the seller earlier this week about those slip on's and he said he sold them, and he had to remove his ad, but it's still there. The roadhouse looks to be a nice quality muffler, let me know your thoughts and the sound quality if you don't sell the bike. May look into those myself, if you sell the bike I may be interested, Thanks....

I just purchased some Roadhouse mufflers from a member here. I'll get back to you.
Someone called me last week wanting to buy my Venture. Probably a lookie lou but you never know. I'll wait and see if this happens by end of next week. When I gave my price I heard "I don't quite have that much" of which I replied "save the trip down then".
If he does buy my Venture then I'll have them for sale. I bought the ones listed in the classifieds.

I'm planning on removing mine, just haven't started the battle yet....
It's a job. Most emblems come off pretty easy. These do not.
You do have to take your time to avoid scratching the fairing. Worth it because it looks so much better IMO.

the best way to remove them is to use some monofilment fishing line to slice between the tank and the eyebrows. then have a fun getting the left over sticky tape off / removed. you can use goobegone or as i did use old fashion lighter fluid.

I don't know i got a 15% discount because i am a Star Riding And Touring member. They were 104.00 without the discount.

The only thing that concerns me is the fact that factory bars sit in rubber "blocks" which I'm sure reduces vibration.
When using the Baron risers the handlebar will now sit outside of them. I'm not sure what the effect will be. More than likely the fairing will vibrate. Go for a ride and watch it.
I'm ready to pull the trigger. I'll wait for some kind of discount.

I read this on Baron's site. Personally, I think it would be a great mod.

Installs on most motorcycles using stock controls (Yamaha RS Venture models will require BA-7430-00 Riser Extensions).
Dimensions: Diameter: 1", Width: 36", Rise: 4", Pullback: 12-1/2"
Additional benefit may be found through the addition of a Baron Starbar handlebar (BA-7300-00), which works beautifully with these Riser Extensions and dramatically reduce the effort required to steer. This setup moves the rider's grip back 2” more and almost 3” lower, producing tremendous changes to the handling and comfort of your Venture! (Longer cables not required).
*PLEASE NOTE: These extensions are not for use with Yamaha’s accessory Chrome Dash Cover, or Yamaha’s one-piece riser caps. This part has been tested to work with stock control lines on Yamaha Royal Star Venture models. It has also been tested with a Baron Starbar to work with stock lines.

you are kidding , i used to own the ice cream shop in Chloride back in 86 !
We keep a 29 footer there all year long. 4100 foot elevation is better than 500 in the summer.

If you jump off at Exit 48 in Kingman, AZ take Route 93 into Vegas. You will get to see the new bridge being built at the Hoover Dam. Unbelievable.
We have a Trailer we keep year around in Chloride, AZ. Western RV Park. Ron and Carol run it. Nice people. Have a dry camp area with access to showers and laundry facilities.
