  1.

    Well, here's the whole story.

My colleague Marco passed away at the end of May 2021 at the age of 56. He left me this motorcycle. Together with a friend we decided to fix the bike.

Technically the bike is 100%, engine, gearbox, clutch and brakes are fine. There is a lot going on, especially optically, because the Yamaha has been outside under a tarp for years, near the sea. A lot of chrome has been affected and there are steel brackets where no paint can be found at all. We will have it partly re-chromed and powder coated. We want to paint the bike in twotone, probably red/black.

Our goal, well sort of. Engine and engine parts will be black matt.

    Long way to go:

    No paint left at all:

  2. Hi guys. I'm Peter from the Netherlands. Got myself a 2005 Yamaha Royal Star Venture XVZ 1300 TF with 18000mls. More or less in bad condition: lot's of surface rust. Was stored outside under a tarp 2 miles from the sea for 5 years. Motor and gear are perfect.

Well, we got something to do this winter.
