Have any of you Venture owners taken a look or test ride on a Vision? How does it compare in your book to the Venture?
Thanks!
mwspoon
Yep, I took a demo ride about a month ago. Victory was at a local Yamaha Dealer that also sells Victory.
After rideing about 30 miles upon our return to the dealer. The Factory guy asked both myself and my friend "what did you think" we both said, I'm keeping my Venture. Cost me a "T" shirt but I just like the look and feel of my Venture.
Its a beaut!

Sorry, I'm busy!

It seems there is at least 100 different answers to this question.
Myself I like some noise, Part of the fun of a motorcycle for me is to be seen and heard!
I live in Colorado. I put on the BUB sleepers. I love the sound, I did NOT do anything to the carbs and the bike runs great, no back fire at all. I did close the air injection system. Some here don't think thats a good idea because of the polution issue, I personally don't think it makes enough difference to matter. Not everyone agrees.
Anyway, I think all about what you like. Loud or quiet! GIVE ME SOME NOISE!

Wow! that started someting.
I figured JT was just goofen around, giving me a bad time. I just wanted to respond in kind. After all when you talk sports part of the fun is giving each other a little crap. One problem with this kind of site, you can't see the face of the person you talking to, to know if they are kidding around or serious. I LIKE TO KID AROUND AND HAVE FUN. Life is just plane to serious, LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!
If JT and others are serious, and really dont like sports, oh well, to bad for them. I'm sure they have things they enjoy and look forward to. That's great! If we all did and liked exactly the same thing it would be a boring world. Of course we all like to ride!
Dont worry, I'm sticking around here, I like it here and if JT or anyone else dosen't like reading my stuff, well then SEE YA!

My riding buddies were talking about changing the oil on their Harleys at church the other day.
Why do your friends want to change the oil in their Harley's at Church? I guess they feel like their Harley's need all the help they can get!

If they can't beat the Faiders Gene it's time to jump off the Band Wagon...
I agree, but with a 41 to14 win, I guess I'll stay on that band wagon for at least one more week.
I see that Green Bay also got the bid "W". What do you think, another Green Bay, Denver Super bowl? That would be cool. (Born in WI, raised in CO).

Just got back from southern CO. Six Harleys and one Venture. I rode sweep so I could pick up all the parts:whistling:
This link is great! got a couple of friends that need to see this (and they will).
I just got a call from one of the guys, Looks like the 1st stop is Glennwood Springs CO. Going to hit the hot springs pool. Were taking the long way over Independence pass aprox 14,000 ft. then into Aspen CO (for lunch). And then on to Glennwood Springs.

I took my grand daughter on a toy drive this past weekend. Beautifull weekend and great ride. Around 200 bikes of all makes and models. Great turn out.
Anyway, I had the intercom set up on her helmet but she is not really tall at 9 years old and I did not notice the cord from her head set was dragging on the bag cover. This caused a scuff mark approx 1/2" wide by 4" long across the width of the cover.
Is there anyway to get rid of that? (not looking for a paint job here LOL)
Thanks all.
I hope you can get the "scuff" mark off your bike, I have a midnight and I use S100 (I get it at the Harley Dealer). Anyway it works well.
Got to say though, if you cant get the scuff out of the paint, I think "road scars" from time with your grand daughter would be perfectly acceptable! I'm sure you do to!

Sounds like the ignition switch to me! Where the Key goes not the kill switch. Everything sotops, nothing works and the bike can be running when it happens.
Good Luck

Sorry to hear about your truck, no fun at all.
By the way I have Dodge 2500 Deisel, I can leave it somewhere available for you to steal (with the keys in) at $4.85 per gal and rising. I would be glad to let you "steal" my truck! (just kidding)

Bike looks great, you will need to get a matching helmet, your head is going to clash with your bike! And you just can't have that!
