  1. Beware all overnight stays anywhere! One of the motels we stayed in this summer had broken glass on the bathroom floor. We both had taken showers already. The wife stepped on a sliver of glass later that night. I began looking hard at the floor after that and there were several pieces there which were very hard to see. Needless to say I b--ched like h--l the next day. What did I get? A free stay anywhere in the USA at this chain. YEA, like thats gonna happen! We wouldn't have stayed there except we had been turned away at the other motels {Full up yeah right}. Like h--l, we looked at the motels in the morning, just about empty. From now on peel the biker cloths and hide the bike. Just to give a heads up the motel had a 6 in the name.:sign isnt that spec:2cents::D

  2. Good thinkin.:thumbsup2: It's a short time we are here on this earth and seems that way to much of it can be spent in a bad mood. You can't please everyone so you might as well please yourself. Hey, I think there is a song with that saying in it! Not exactly but close to it. My dad used to tell me when things get bad and your down. That you might not understand it now but everything happens for a reason and later on in life you'll look back and understand why. By the way, good luck on your surgury also. Remember, good thoughts and laugh everyday.:D

  3. I ordered mine from Big Bike Parts, item number 61-100 for $49.00 on 11-06. When you receive it you might want to tear it apart and add more lights inside of it. It seemed to me that the amount of light from it was very inadequate. All it takes to tear it apart is some patience and a hair dryer. I replaced the turn signal bulbs with some side emitting LED bulbs I ordered from e-bay. They were much brighter that the ones that came in it. I also added two strip LED lights in the red section. One for stopping and one for running lights. Much better for visibility.:2cents::D

  4. It's NOT the VENDORS and SUPPLIERS folks...

    Let me explain:

Dont know about YOU, but I remember back when my life was just peachy fine until I bought this darn RSV.

That day changed my life forever.

I want to sue Yamaha, and the vendor who sold me this bike because I have become so damned addicted to "WANTING CHROME and ACCESSORIES" that I spend hours searching and wanting chrome parts now.

Expense's have increased three fold too..I now make long distance phone calls inquiring about wanted items, then fall for the lust placeing orders.

I have become "filled" with anticipation all the time..

I can't sit still, and find myself out of control in a waiting frenzy.....

I now experience many moods of frustration and anger

I take my "moods" out on vendors because the item didnt make it on time

I find myself spending hours on the phone and sending send emails checking on the orders I placed

I cant seem to go to far from my front door anymore and continually open it to look to see if maybe the post man set my item on the porch.

So many "mood swings" have "over taken me" all because I bought this bike.

(even my strogen level is off...)

    My check book is dwindling...

I cant stop attending meet & eats.

For some reason, I cant stop buying rags wax and vehicle cleaning supplies

    Now for the KICKER:

To TOP it all off,....in my searching, I came across this VR.org site where I now have a second home. I find myself spending most of my time sitting in a (now) worn out chair, reading posts about many other folks who are in the same boat as I am.

(Hey, this just might be a good class action law suit in the making)

I mean hey, I "WAS" normal before I bought this bike and found this site....

I did have a check book with a couple bucks in it...

I even used to spend TIME with my wife, but hell, can't remember her name now....

    My life WAS... peachy fine...........

AAGGH,the truth we didnt want the truth!:rotfl::rotfl::D

  5.

I came into the motorcycle riding world when advertising to attract new riders was more like: "you meet the nicest people on a honda."

Wearing all that leather must turn on their Primordial "I'm a bad -ss" impression. :confused24:

I joined about the time the advertisers were using "Kawasaki lets the good times roll":thumbsup2::D

  6. Gotta agree its different. Around here thou it would be frozen shut in the winter. Also what would happen if it went closed while your trying to take that kid out of the back seat. Oh, I know, I know two mommies now instead of one!:rotfl::rotfl::D

  7. I think we should let Lonna decide the color of Brad's Bra.:rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf:

    Jeff

Ok. if we're talking about a bra for a man lets git the terminology right its called a "MANZEAR". Cramer invented it years ago! And yes pink would be a nice color for ya squidley.:rotfl::rotfl::D

  8. today, i was delighted, to see my children, and grand children!

however, i was JUST as happy , to see them all go home , at the end of the day!

    what a madhouse!!!!!

does anyone else, understand why some lower life forms "eat their young"????

    lol

    just jt

YES! I feel your pain daily. We have two sons and one daughter. The sons have "left the nest" to live lives of their own. The same for the daughter for awhile. She married had children found out that mister right was a sleazebag, lazy no good a--h----. Now we are blessed with grandchildren daily. Being that they live with us now. We love them dearly but at this point in our lives we were looking forward to doing what we wanted when we wanted. Not raising children again.:bawling::doh:

  9. What a waste of e-space.

Hilton would have to be one of the most self-indulgent, pretentious, over-rated, ugliest 'women' that ever graced all the glitsy places that women like her frequent. If she didn't have her daddy's million$ to splash around she'd be nothing but a commoner - like the rest (most) of us. Take away her money and nobody would give a sh1t about her! 45 days shoulda been 45 years!

Yeah, but tell us what you really think? No. Really. Your assesement of her is friggin close enough for me!:D

  10. I have a spare set of used coils still mounted in their rack and they are all the same wires: red/white & orange. If you look up the coil part number there is only one part number for the coils...so they are all built the same wiring color wise....it simplifies spare parts inventory.

I think you will find the wiring at the harness connectors the coils hook up to has the proper wiring colors as per the wiring diagram. Best bet is to change out one coil at a time to prevent a mixup wiring wise.

If the plug wires are originals you will see they have number tags on them for #1,#2,#3,#4.

Thanks for the reply. It clears up my confusion.:thumbsup2::D

  11. I've bought some coils on e-bay. They are supposed to be off of a 89 venture. My problem is these coils have all the same color wires coming out of them. Red with a white stripe and a orange wire. In the wiring diagram there is supposed to be a different colored wire from every coil. Have I been taken? Are these coils off of a 89 venture?:confused24:

  12. it sure is aggravating, to look up a members ,personal profile, and learn next to nothing about them!

    i guess it's about personal preference, but hell,WE AIN'T THE F.B.I.!

    just jt

Guess some of us were born in different times. Kind of like the new Buckey Covington song they play on the radio. Gotta laugh at that one. The things he sings about he never did, being young as he is. It's a whole new world out there. I'm beginning to believe that it's not for the better either. Then someone like Beer30 goes and does something good for total strangers. Makes you wonder?:thumbsup2::D

  13. Lets see....maybe, just maybe around 450 miles. That had to be a perfect day flat roads, good weather and a happy momma! I guess I've never ridden the bike like I was on a mission. Don't know how some of you do it. Some of these milage reports sound like your running from the law!:rotfl::rotfl:Oh well, whatever trips your trigger.:bikersmilie:

  14. The wife and I haven't been able to do much riding this year due to family problems. But we did get to do two, two day jaunts. The first one was down to Pickerington, Ohio to the AMA museum and the second one to Hersey, Pa. to the Hersey museum. On the first one when we stopped for the night at about 4:00 P.M. we went to two motels that had hardly any cars in their lots and were told that they were full. No problem we just went up the road to another one and stayed. The next morning we were up and riding at 7:30 in the morning. I made sure the next morning to look to see if the other motels that we had stopped at to get a room were indeed full. NOT! I thought oh well their loss and let it go. The next two day jaunt to Hersey, Pa. we encountered the same "full up" bull. What gives? Has anyone else encountered this bigotry against motorcycles? We have ridden in a lot of western states and have never come up against this issue. Is this just a east of the Mississippi hospitality?
