  1. Are you talking about the button in the system settings on the bike itself? I was talking about the button on the toolbox program that runs on your PC or MAC.
  2. In terms of the Map update, If the button for "Available updates" is greyed out and un-clickable in the Yamaha toolbox. Does that mean my map is up to date? I can go through the "Buy content" button and spend $100 on something. But it says "Q4 2018" on the option. That seems really old. I did just update my Eluder to R12.0.6 from R11.xxx. It did not change the "Available updates" button in the tool box after the update.
  3. I actually have one of those wheel chocks and it was set up in my trailer and perfect for my old bike. Unfortunately the Eluder is to big to set it up correctly in my trailer. I wouldn’t be able to close the door. I have the money for a new bike or a new trailer. Not both lol. I went to look for used ones but they’re usually in bad shape and not much less expensive than a new one. I did contemplate renting a car to drive up there and riding it home but it’s 8 hours one way and I know if I tried to ride it home it’d be an 8 hour ride through thunderstorms or an historic July blizzard. That’s always my luck!
  4. I haven’t seen someone tie it down there. I do have those tie down extensions I guess I could loop them around the forks. Interesting that he didn’t use a wheel chock. I thought that was a must have. I got a V-nose enclosed trailer. Would I be good just lining the wheel up in the V?
  5. Hello all! I want to thank you who replied to my last post and I have since sold my Indian and have purchased a brand new old Eluder! The next issue I have is I have to pick it up out of state. I think the best option for me would be to trailer it home, but looking at this bike I have no idea where you could attach tie down straps. How have you all secured your bike to a trailer? I saw on another forum that someone bought straps that go over the grips on the handlebars, but these bikes have rubber mounted bars correct? I’m thinking that’s probably not a good way to secure it. If you all could shed a little light (and maybe some pictures) that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
  6. Hey thanks for the reply! Did you have to go get the bike Dyno tuned after the muffler install?
  7. Hello all, I’m thinking about buying a brand new Eluder. There are a few great deals out there and I think it's time for me to move up to something a little more tour worthy. However, there are a few things that I want to know about these bikes that I can't entirely find the answer too. I think first would be the heat on the left leg. This is the #1 complaint I seem to read. I haven't had a chance to ride one on a really hot day, but I want to know if you all really have a problem with it or found a way to help mitigate it? For some reviewers the heat is a crime against motorcycling, and others it nearly a footnote if mentioned at all. My current ride is water cooled, but before I had an 1200 sportster The next question is about the exhaust options. I kinda like the way it sounds stock and I imagine with some miles behind her it'll sound even better. But if I want to go with T.A.B. Slip-ons do I need to get it dyno tuned? With previous bikes I had to get the “Stage-1” flash or a rejet. This would be my first bike with a radio on it so I might just want to crank the tunes and keep the exhaust note on low :-) Finally, the production run was pretty limited on these, and aftermarket support seems limited. Even though it appears Yamaha itself sells the accessories I think I need. Have you all found yourself wanting something that just wasn't available? I'm looking at that windshield and I'm just not sure that's going to do it for me and I'd hate to find the 1 other option won't help me either. And do you see replacement parts for these bikes being an issue down the road? Thank you all in advance for your time. I just can't stop looking at the pictures of this beast!
