All I really have is my 06 Tour Deluxe to compare to. For touring 2 up, Victory, hands down wins for us. On our overnight weekend rides, I used to get home Sunday and truly was fatigued on our Yamaha. On this Vision, I'm sad to get back home now.
And then there's the handling. You'd just have to ride one.
I really had no idea how top heavy and cumbersome our Tour Deluxe was. Being the only bike I'd owned after a 20 year break, I rode it hard, revved it hard and loved it. Thought it was the best handling bike I'd ever been on. Now I know differently but I certainly don't rev like I used to.
I would really have to agree with this statement. About a month ago, the wife and I did a test ride on the new Victory Cross Tourer - sweet handling bike. Her observation from riding on the back of that bike was that it was more comfortable and roomy, and that she felt I was much more at ease going through the twisties on the Victory over my Tour Deluxe - and she was right, even though I was "nervous" as I don't like to ride "others" bikes - even for a test ride. More than likely, our next bike will be the Cross Tourer. While I personally like the Vision, you cannot beat the luggage space available on the Cross Tourer - thus the reason I prefer that model.

:Happy Birthday::smile11:HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Lonna - and many more.

My favorite new bike - if I had the money to get one - would be the Victory Cross Tourer. Great power, very comfortable, has all the amenities (except a CB radio), very well made with a lot of "cargo" space. Took one for a test ride - was truly surprised with this bike. Hopefully, one day, Mama Yamaha will come out with something to replace the Venture - or just add couple of things to the Strat and call it a day. Just my two cents.

Great to see your post, Dano - thoughts for a healthy and speedy recovery still coming your way. Hang in there - as they say - (hopefully) this will all pass. Good luck for - and during - your recovery. Love to the family.

Question... What is a "dongle"?
Dongle = a small device that plugs into a computer and serves as an adapter or as a security measure to enable the use of certain software. Also, The word dongle was broadcast in episodes of the BBC Goon show in December 1957 and also January 1956.

I'd be up to planning a 2012 gathering - maybe late August - up / around Susanville? The coast is incredible - any time of year I think - but in summer the hotel rates skyrocket - as we found out from couple of years ago (though I think we all had fun).
Hmmm...................................

Cody Condor is correct - changing a battery on the street (or parking lot) only takes a few minutes. That is a good area to start with.

I've got the Bionic - first smartphone for me. I don't use all its features yet, but overall am very happy with it - especially the call quality. Personally, I use the phone primarily as a phone - to talk to people - so call clarity was important - and this unit is living up to that.

Dano and his family are definitely in our prayers. So sorry to read this, and hoping everything will work out - and for a speedy recovery.

As another data point, yesterday my HID died. I suspect the ballast.
Installed 6/27/2010
Died 8/21/2010
Approximately 5000 miles
I'm going back to the SilverStar Ultra. It has lasted about 35,000 miles so far, and is plenty bright.
Dave
Dave, didn't it come with a warranty? I installed one on my bike - went out very quickly - was the ballast - sent it back and got a new one under warranty - new one workds great (to date).

Glad to read you got a chance to get away for a while - great idea! Now, once you get back, and all settled in, caught up, etc., ya know the rules, Freebird - LOL -

All I would have to say after watching that is: you have got to be kidding me?! That was the craziest, goofiest, pain in the neck set up I have ever seen, but I'm sure someone will make a buck or two off of that gizmo.
