  1. I will be praying that GOD's grace and mercy overcome you, and HE will give you understanding.

Remember this, that GOD's grace and mercy is more than we can ever understand. HIS love is wider and deeper than we can understand. Put your trust in HIM and not your own understanding.

As for the last few years you said she had become less loving. My mom died last May, she was the kindest person I knew, she never seen fault in anyone, she never seen color either, she loved everyone. However her last couple years were the same. For some, dementia (brain fades with age) takes over and they get confused more, and it frustrates them. You know how frustrating it is to know someone, have their name on the tip of your tongue but for the life of you, you cannot remember. Many older people live like this the last days of their lives. They know they should know but they can't quite remember. Forget the past, remember the good in her, the great times, and even some of the well deserved butt whippings. Make sure your life is right before the LORD and look forward to the day when you will be reunited with her.

Romans 8:28 All things work for the glory of GOD for those who love HIM.

  2. Why do they call them passing lights. On our cars the passing lights are when we can flash our lights on and off real quick. My passing lights have a switch behind them, no way you are turning them on or off as you drive down the road. I would like to put a switch near my hand controls so I can turn lights on and off when I wan too

  3. Does the newer bikes have the CD player? I though I read somewhere on here where the newer bikes come with a cable to hookup an iPod touch. I would like to get rid of the CD player, I have some old CDs in there but they skip quite a bit.

I was told by somebody not sure here or on FB that the sound system for our bikes is close to the sound system for Goldwings. You would think we could get something from Goldwing and use it with our bikes.

I wish someone would make a system so we could replace the whole thing.

  4. When I ride I usually throw the phone in the saddle bag in the off position. Sometimes if expecting a call I will keep it in my vest. I know some people have their who life on their cell phones. I know my kids do, I maybe just to dumb to figure it all out. I like the system on our bikes, first bike I owned that had all this stuff, I like the CB. I have sued other radio systems when riding with groups, the bikes with built in CB communicate the best with each other.

However with all that said, I cannot believe Yamaha or who ever makes the audio system for the bike hasn't come with some kind of update. Hard for me to believe that all the way up to 2015 they still offered a tape player.

I heard the audio system was basically the same as the Goldwing. I would like to get rid of the CD changer and maybe have a MP3 player in there. I would like to be able to listen to the radio and have a GPS too.

I have one helmet with Scala system, with it really you do not need any of the audio stuff we have on our bikes.

  5. Full cold would be LOWER line on reservoir with bike on level ground standing straight up. If you use upper line cold when the bike gets hot (water expands) it will over fill reservoir and dump on the ground. Dumping antifreeze in front of rear tire is not a good idea. :080402gudl_prv:

Thanks, it just says check cold. Mine cold standing straight up, (and why they want you to check the oil, and other stuff on a side stand I have no idea why they did not put a center stand on the bike) is just above the lower level side, I will leave it alone then.

    thanks for the help

  6. Saturday it was 30, just freezing here in South GA. Extremely cold for us. I had to go to a meeting about 75 miles away, so I got my leathers on and took off, bike preformed perfect, then that afternoon road back. Great ride, however, when I went out Sunday morning I noticed green fluid under the bike. I already have an oil leak, and the clutch slave cylinder leaking, with this it looked like an old Chevy truck in my parking spot.

Well I tried to find the leak, looking at the front of the radiator, I noted fluid coming all the way down the right side, but there was no fluid going back. No evidence, of leak while riding. I was wondering if I picked up a rock or something. I took the side cover off checked the fluid, cold it is right above the low line. I road Sunday afternoon and no leak since.

I searched on here for other threads for this, the only thing I found was a thread about freeze plugs behind the fake fins leaking.

    So here is my questions.

    1. where was the leak coming from, could it be possible for fluid leaking on the freeze plugs being pushed forward.

    2. How full should the radiator reservoir be.

Since Saturday it hasn't leaked, but it hasn't been below freezing either.

Thanks in advance for any advice, and wise cracks :biker:

  7. Are your judge elected or appointed. find out and vote them out of office. Nobody really hears about a judge, so when they come up for a vote most of us just click stay in office.

I had something similar to this a long time ago, I went out of my way to let people know what that judge had done and he was voted out. Sad news, he is a lawyer, went back to private practice

  8. Picture posted by venturesome! LMAO!!

Yup, maybe one of these days I'll knock on your door .... that is a better option!

Give me a couple week notice.

I wish I could win the lottery, I want to buy either a bed and breakfast or a motel, and have winter rates for bikers. If I had enough money, I would but a few bikes too, so all you would have to do is come down, stay and ride.

My plan is to hire a retired northerns as road captain, party planners, cooks. and a motorcycle mechanic. I would be the care keeper.

  9. I'm sorry for you lack of understanding. Unfortunately though, this is not something I can explain in such a way that you might understand. However, I do invite you to come up here at this time of year to experience it. That is the only way you will fully understand what I'm speaking of. Meanwhile, or if you choose not to take me up on my offer, you will just have to go through life lacking this experience and understanding ..... :stickpoke: :stickpoke:

Thanks for the invite, checking my calendar..................... oh sorry I am busy right now.... ;):o

the better option is maybe you could come and visit me and explain it to me, and bring pictures of the frozen truck windows. If your bike is frozen in, you can ride mine for free :usa::sun:
