Sorry but before I can believe your story I need to see the pictures.

He was going to take a picture but cannot find bike now. If he took a picture we would just thing he was taking a picture of some trees and bushes

  2. I had a victory before my RSV, and there is a forum for them I think they use the same software, I learned then the few buck you pay for the advice, help and friendship is well worth it.

I have had people call me from this site to help me with by bike

Thank you all that willing to take your time to help us less knowledgeable folks

  3. Sure hope you all are doing OK. Looks like this hurricane is getting stronger and is a real rain maker. Spots around Tampa are reporting over something like 15" rain in just a few hours.

I am a couple hours from the coast in South GA. Right now the eye is passing us. Other than some wind, a lot of rain and few branches down, not much going on here. Probably wont have the bike out today.....

However the folks in the Big Ben of FL I hear and see on the news got it pretty bad. It could of been worse, the storm could of come ashore bigger.

When I use to do some work for the emergency management and communications, the fear is one day a storm, taking the same path as this one, but as a CAT 4 or 5 will come and the majority of the population would not be ready. Maybe the FL folks would be but in South GA they have the mentality of just wind and rain....

If the wife would let me, I would bring the bike in the family room and do a good cleaning on it.

But all is pretty good here

  4. I think your looking the right way to start. Eliminate the easy stuff that dont cost you anything first. The connections at the solenoid and the starter. Solenoid is on left lower side under the passenger foot board. Also look at the main 30amp fuse there. Mine was corroded terribly and caused me a no start problem out of no where. Double check the mount bolts for the starter. I was just thinking, if its not bolted up tight, it wont get a good ground and would arc.

Thanks, I had a Chevy truck that also sounded like this once, when someone was turning the key, you had to hit it with a hammer to make it start, there was a dead spot or something on the starter.

  5. I started this post a while ago but could not find it

I am having some starting issues with my 07 RSV. When I first turn on the key, the fuel pump runs up, when I push the starter button I get a loud clicking. One or two pushes and it turns over and starts fine.

If it was a Ford I would say the starting solenoid was going out. First I thought it was the batter, I took it out and took it to a battery shop, to replace it, they tested it and said it was good, made sure it had a good charge and it still did the same thing. So I bought a new battery anyway, some thing.

With the seat off it is real loud, almost like it was arcing somewhere. Not sure if there is a loose wire on the starter.

I haven't had time to look at much, with work an some medical issues I have not had the time. Nothing serious on medical issues a bad tummy bug went around town here. However I am off next week and I am hoping to get some serious riding in. So I am just looking for advice where do I start looking past the battery.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Larry
