  1. My wife, Jana, is being tested for Covid-19. She was sent home from work this morning due to a temperature. She works for a medical provider in Gastonis, NC but she is an accountant in an office removed from medical personel. Funny that when she got home her temperature was normalbut the powers that be said she will get tested. She may have to self quarantine ten dats even if the test is negative.

Good thing is that she can work from home. Keeps me :mo money:.

Hope she is ok and the tests came back negative.

  2. Welcome back Ed. WOW nice bikes you have there. Glad you're enjoying life again too.

We enjoyed our time with you at The Root Beer Run last month too.

Was great to see you and Joyce again. Had a lot fun at the RB run.

  3. After a short absence from the site I’m finally back.

Met a wonderful lady a couple years ago that loves to ride as much as me and we’ve covered nearly 15,000 miles and 35 states together.

We made made a few changes of late.

I picked up a nice 2007 RSV in October.

We sold our GL-1500 Trike and 3 weeks later found us a 2007 RSV Hannigan trike.

    We now have a set of twins, (a bi-pod and a tri-pod)

Traded my 1999 RSV for a 2003 V-Max thats in near new condition.

Still have the 1983 VR and finely got her back close to where she was before the fire.

We are in the process of completing a 24’x24’ shop/man cave where I can work on stuff and just hang.

All in all it’s been a good year.

  4. In my opinion Metzler suck on the RSV. I’ve had 2 delaminates on my 99 and would never use them again. I like the Dunlop E3 if you can find them and have gotten 12k + miles out of the rear. The front has 14k and still has 40% tread left.

I just picked up an 07 and putting the E3s on it. AEBBE2B7-54E2-441A-AA97-A8EC55EF1EFA.jpg

That’s my thoughts but as everything goes from oil to spark plugs gaps we all have our own opinions.

  5. A very sad day indeed. I never had the opportunity to meet Dan but read most of his posts.

Our thoughts prayers go out for him and his family.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do.

  6. That looks cool..... I bet you're going to have that puppy rigged to the gills by the time you leave... :-)

Just changed all the taillights to LED,s. It has the old style “trucker” type single bulb lights and the new ones are much better. The clear ones are red run and brake and the ambers are one center as a run light with all for turn signal.

  7. We are planning a long ride this year and thought about doing the tent thing for much if it to save some money. Tried that last yeas a bit but it rained every day during one so spent every night in motels.

This year we will be gone about month and will be riding somewhere around 10k miles. We are also planning on staying multi-nights in some places to see more of the area so we picked up a nice used camp trailer to try out.

Kind of a cool set up with ample storage a queen bed and places for a camp stove and more.

Looking forward to seeing places out and away from the mainstream roads.

  8. I put a set of LA Choppers on my 99 back in 2012 and did some experimenting with how much wrap to use for the sound I wanted. This is with 3 wraps using 0000 steel wool. I later took of one wrap and liked the louder sound more. May change them back to a 3 wrap after this years riding season.
