  1. It is a long winded bolt, don't give up cause it will suck it in.
  2. There are 2 adjustments in there, one with the knob on the left and a 10mm(?) bolt head on the right. I had the same problem the first time I got mine out at night, I could see behind me.
  3. WOW!!!! Glad you finally got her back. How is the proud papa?
  4. I got the Pillow Top backrest today from Diamond R and the first thing I did was put it on and go for a ride. I think it is GREAT!!! Thanks for putting up with me, you were awesome. Maybe one of these days I can shake your hand.
  5. No the saddlebag top rails will not fit, at least the ones I have. Fender curve nowhere near what is needed to mount the rails.
  6. Was at Hannigan Motorsports in Murray, KY for a day in a half. Wanted to see how it was done. That and I was dying to see it, completed or not. Brad estimated it would be done by noon Friday. At 4pm it came flying around the corner of the building going for a shake down ride by my mechanic Brad. My Granddaughter Ali (just turned 9) was my partner in this adventure and took all of the first pictures. She was more excited than I was. I have owned the Venture for 3 years it was known as Papaw's motorcycle and the first time she saw it she named it "Olivia". So, I guess it has a name now. https://picasaweb.google.com/117633544686028983362/September7201402 (Either Flickr or I is not the brightest crayon in the box, so I am giving Google a try) Pictures on this link, for some reason, goes both ways. Arrow to the left is pictures at my house. The dark haired girl is Ali, the light haired girl is Taylor. They are two of my grandkids and are just as ornery as they are cute.
  7. A biker friend of mine on Facebook found this and posted. I just about split my side. I wonder how many has seen this.
  8. Called yesterday. Justin ran out to the shop and said they were bleeding the brakes. He said maybe Friday or Monday. :cool10:Might take a mini vacation and my trailer to Murray and watch the finishing work. The ole girl isn't a trailer queen but I will haul her back because I like my Explorer too much to leave it. Also will get me out of town for the weekend. The 127 yard sale is this weekend and these locals pay more attention to the road side vendors than on coming traffic. Anyone who lives by US 127 know what I mean.
  9. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Venture-Royal-Star-Saddlebag-Top-Rails-Yamaha-New-one-pair-/390899992480?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5b037487a0 Probably aftermarket, still wondering if they might fight. This link is an active one, but it is just like the one I bought last year.
  10. Has anyone tried to put the top rails from the RSV saddlebags on a Hannigan fender. I have a set that I haven't installed and now the bike is being converted. I don't know the curve of the fender yet.
  11. Justin said that they were having parts problems. My guess is they are behind.
  12. Today I was hoping to tell you all about the new Hannigan conversion, post a bunch of pictures of the finished bike, HOWEVER................. I can not. Got a call from Justin and was informed that there was a problem. Now I am looking at next Friday. Oh well. S**t happens. Now I tell everyone that I "had a RSV once and wish I had it back". Patience isn't one of my strong points.
  13. I am thinking that the best way to tell Larry what options that I am getting on my conversion is to show the wish list I made at Hannigan Motorsports. Also will show current prices for those who are wondering.
  14. Made it to Murray, KY and back today with no real fear for my life. Kentucky drivers behaved today. All but a couple stayed on their side of the road. My bike is at Hannigan Motorsports now. Monday the crew will start the conversion. As I posted in my introduction, I am really excited. Should be finished by Aug 1th. If I managed to put this in the wrong Forum, I am sorry. Still playing with all the websites button. I will show you some snaps of it when it is finished.
