  2. I swear there was a picture of one posted here at one time but I can't find it now. I think it was a post to one that somebody found for sale somewhere. Very low mileage that had only been used for parades or something.

Don. are you sure that wasn't my brothers KZ1000?

his had low mileage, and was only used as an "escort/parade" bike.police chief figured if the south Texas drug runners would ram an F250 pick-up, they wouldn't hesitate to take out a bike.

  3. could be , everyone is "barking up the wrong tree", here.

i have smelled a LOT of overheated breaks in my time, but their never was the "definite smell of burning rubber".

could it be that a piece of road gator might have gotten caught in between the tire and the frame?

it could have dislodged itself after it was worn down enough.

    then again, i wasn't there.

  4. Now you have brought up an issue that I have to deal with. Over the past few months, I have gone completely blind in my right eye. I haven't tried shooting since losing that vision and will have to figure out what the best solution is for me. I know that I can continue to shoot right handed but use my left eye to aim or I can try shooting left handed. I plan to try it both ways and just see which feels better to me.

I still forget sometimes that I am now blind in that eye. I was at a friends house the a few days ago and he had just picked up a set of HD mufflers and we were wondering if they had the catalytic converter in them. The first thing I did was pick one of them up and hold it up to my right eye to find out if I could see all the way through it. Nope...I couldn't...not with THAT eye.

    Two words, Don.

  5. I think i'll stick with my Remington 1858 "replica"new army, black powder pistol .44 caliber, 5 1/2 inch barrel ,accurate as a glock out to 25 or 30 yards. mail order delivered to my house. no paperwork to fill out, NOT considered to be a "handgun" by either the federal A.T.F, or the State of Texas.

legal to carry concealed in/on your particular mode of transportation.

  6. i have heard a LOT of people complaining about Valero gas, in the past.

i have worked in their Corpus Christi refinery. it is one of the dirtiest places i ever worked, and i have worked refineries coast to coast and border to border!

the only way i would buy their crap product, would be to get me to another station.

    sorry for your troubles, brad.

hope you get to break it off in-'em!

  8. On second thought - - - - this seems WAY to easy!

    gotta be a catch!

kinda like "illegals" you get two of them really cheap, then they bring their whole family, and eat you into bankruptcy!

    thanks but NO THANKS chief!

i'll just keep struggling along, solo!

    lol

  9. I must be the only one who can't get either a one way valve brake bleeder, or a Mightyvac to work and has to bleed brakes and clutch by hand using a wrench.

Tryed a 1 way valve and after a few squirts the valve sticks open and let in air.

So I bought a Mighty Vac. I couldn't get the hoses to hold vacuum and not leak air bubbles. I even put grease on the fittings and used hose clamps.

Doing it by hand with a wrench to open & close the bleeder works, so thats what I did on both my bikes this summer. The 2000RSV I bought in April looked like it had never been changed.

i had the same problem. leaking hoses. a few "tie wraps" solved 99% of those leaks.

just an FYI, don't put the mighty vac back in its original PLASTIC box, until you are certain that it is clean and BRAKE FLUID free.

don't as me how i know.

  10. WHERE can i buy or rent a couple of "pygmies". my old back just won't let me do all the things that i need to do.

i figure a couple of young , strong, little-us, might just be worth the cost!

    lol
