  2. just thought i'd take a second to say "thank you" to all my REAL friends, here.

over coffee , this morning , i was "counting " up some of my blessings, and all of you wonderful people on this site floated to the near top of my list.

so to all my real friends, HAPPY THANKSGIVING", in advance.

probably won't be able to be here tomorrow.

  3. i can just visualize this guy being "chased" by the cops!

    urban, suburban, wild country.

they couldn't catch him on a bet, if he didn't WANT to be caught.

i can understand all the jumps going DOWN, but to jump a bike UPHILL, must be riding on avons!

thanks for posting this one bro!

  4. You could be very right. My daughters Nintendo DS was in an Asian language and wanted me to fix it. I spent 20 minutes on and and gave up. Asked my 8 year old son, 7 at the time, if he could fix it. He had it back in English in two minutes.

Dude, I rarely drink anymore but still have some Bookers left. I do not live up to the name I have anymore. In fact, on another forum I changed it to TipperT. (Tipper Turtle) Why and what it means to me is unknown, I must have been drunk, lol.

The doc put me on the South Beach diet cause I had some really high cholesterol levels and I was starting to get heavy. No drinking on the diet, I had to give up caffiene too. Lost 32lbs so far, got another 23 to go.

Hope things are well with you brotha!

some day, before i "cash in", i hope to come up there, and help ya polish off the last of the bookers!

glad to hear that you are watching your health!

your children will need you for MANY years to come.

    love ya brother!

  5. Okay, it is Sunday night and I made this progress. Right and left muffler removed, removed front calipers, got to the rear caliper and I have one caliper bolt that will not turn. It is the one on the left, looking straight at the caliper. Any suggestions on how to remove this bolt? 12mm 6 point socket just slips, went to 12mm wrench, that baby is locked. Seems like every bolt and nut is crapped up somehow on this bike. Anyway, any good penetrating liquids that can be used on aluminum calipers?

    Ideas, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

go to an auto parts house and buy a can of "freeze off", made by CRC.

stuff works wonders on "stuck parts".

    jmho.

  7. i spent 3 1/2 years as a "crash/rescue/firefighter, in the u s navy.

spent 3 more in the civil service, doing the same thing.

all in all, i liked the work - - at the time(1970-1977).

now 40 years down the road, i have asbestosis, thanks to my UNCLE SAM, and there is nothing i can do about it.

  8. following along "rentalguy's" train of thought: my grandfather , when i was about 7 years old, told me.

"in your lifetime, you will see a time when a pound of salt is worth more than a pound of gold".

didn't mean much to me at the time, but i have always remembered it.

i agree with the "seeds and bullets" way of planning.

  9. I've been investing in a lot of lead over the last couple of years and I've been trying to pick up some silver now and then as well.

  10. after reading about "BONGO-BOB'S "misfortune, it became obvious to me that some members here are "savvy" about peripheral neuropathy.

my sister has it in both feet, and now her hands are showing signs of "loss of feeling".

she is NOT diabetic, and is rapidly becoming a cripple.

anyone who knows about this malady, please respond or p.m. me with your input.

    God bless all.

  11. if i were going to invest in gold, i would certainly only buy "hard/tangible gold".

gold "bonds", or certificates, are nothing more than paper.

they are NOT backed by "real" gold bars, as in Ft. Knox!
