  1. I didn't have a post in my hand!!!! Do I need a post to take the test????? Off to the lumber yard to get a post. Man this test is getting harder to do!
  2. That would work and be greatly appreciated. Then perhaps I can make a trip down for a visit just for the fun of it. IF its OK with my boss, that's wife.
  3. Been following the post and noticed you gave your guest a "Crappie dinner". Why don't you like them? Did you just want them to go away? PS I know what a Crappie is.
  4. Don't let Trader fool you! No body in Tichborne is that sophisticated. It's a Canadian thing like "EH".
  5. I have the emblems! Will have to make some repairs to my car before I can get down. Brakes are bad have to replace. But I will come and get it! Thanks bongobobny! I'll let you know when I can come down.
  6. I COULD do that!!!! if I spent 8 hours a day, 365 days a year for, oh, the next 15 or twenty YEARS!!!
  7. Yeh. Don't get too close to the EDGE!!!!!
  8. It always rains in Tichborne!
  9. Awwwwww.... I wanted to do another test!!
  10. Sunny and warm here rode to Port Dover. Great day for a ride!! Well at least your bike is clean!
  11. I need the rear reflector that has Venture Royale on it. 1986 model if it makes a difference. I do not need the name plates just the reflector. The one that came with the bike is brittle and cracked and broken in a number of places. Ebay ones, if good, are way to expensive. I have already blown my budget on the carb rebuild. Thanks.
  12. I was taking my wife into town to do some shopping and as we approached a side road a motorcyclist that was coming towards us on the highway turned right in front of me across my lane !! I don't know how I missed hitting him broadside:mad:. The bike that was behind him just sat there shaking his head. The guy who cut in front of me kept going. Oh yes did I mention it was a damn crotch rocket. I hate those things! 99.9% of all the bike accident's I have seen over the last five years have been with those damn things. People who ride them must take off there heads and put on an empty helmet. Because they operate those bike like they have no brains! We had one go flying past our house last summer and we knew that b the way the girl was flying down the road there was going to be an accident. I no sooner said so to my wife when we heard the crash. There's a very slight curve in the road past our house and she didn't quite make it. She hit the side of a parked car lost control of the bike and hit the ditch and culvert at the end of a driveway and went flying. The bike and her tore a huge strip out of the neighbors law. The bike disinigrated, parts flew every where. The girl operating the was unconscious and in very serious condition. The paramedics said she was in a real bad way. We never heard if she made it or not but it didn't look good for her. My son wanted to get one when he was first sent to CFB Petawawa when he first joined the Canadian army. I told him bought one I'd kick his AS* and then kill him my self before I'd let him buy one of them pieces of junk!! It seems like everyone who buys one things they are motorcycle racers and every paved road is a race track. Ok That's My Rant! I'll go back to my corner now and be quiet.
  13. I don't use Seafoam. I use Stabil for the same reason though. I put Stabil in the gas every month. I know that its to stabilize the gas over long periods of use. But its main use is to prevent the gas from turning to varnish in the carbs so it stands to reason that if you use it all season long it will keep the carbs clean. I know an old bike mechanic, Harley bikes. He's in his seventies and that's what he says the Harley owners do with there bikes. Since I've started doing this with my 83 XJ750K I have had no carb issues. In fact the bike runs much better. I've tried Seafoam and I never got the same results as do with using Stabil.
  14. The guy who I bought mine off of brought it to my place in one of them baby trucks. It just fit with the tailgate down!
  15. Have a safe trip boys and girls! I wish I could go but have to be in CFB Trenton this weekend. My second granddaughters first birthday on Saturday:beer:. My youngest sons first child. Going to have to do a dirt bike rebuild for her as soon as I find one!
  16. Great glad to here it and good luck at the new job.
  17. Flyinfool what are you looking for in a replacement kill switch. I'll be replacing my RT hand switch's next week 86 Venture Royale, you are welcome to them if you can use them.
  18. If you still have them and will ship to Canada I could use them for my rebuild of my 86 Venture Royale.
  19. I feel your pain! Actually I do. I have had knee surgery ,1 & 1/2 years ago still bothers me. Sevier degenerative disc disease in my lower back and sevier austioarthritus in my right shoulder. I only take pain killers, morphine, when the pain is completely unbearable. But I do not let it dictate what I'm going to do. I ride my bike, I still fish the rivers and hunt deer every fall alone. In fact I have found that the more I do with out the meds the less I notice the pain. Control the pain don't let the pain control you. And forgive the spelling please.
  20. Same thing happened when my wife's cousin, husband and kids came over from Sydney Australia for a visit a couple years ago. Took them out to the farm and took a week off work so they could get there full share of shooting what they can't have in Aus.
  21. Pricey isn't the word for it!!! More like OMG:depressed:. I'm in the middle of one now on a 86 that's been sitting for ten years. Fortunately the carb rebuild is going to be the most costly part of the project. Just waiting on carb parts to get here, wont see them till around the 24 of June. Until then I'll check shims and rebuild the complete hydraulic clutch system. And clean parts. Fortunately the bike was prepped for storage before it was put away to sleep.
  22. I have to mow the lawn, help with yard work, that means do the gardening the wife wants done AND fix the DAMN car. No time for the bike today.
  23. Getting tired of rain and l weather!! Then when the sun does come out have to spend ALL day cutting the lawn and doing yard work. Then when that's done have to take the wife out fishing!! When that's done and I want to ride it RAINS and turns cold and windy!! They are calling for nice warm, dry weather for the next week. Sure...... every time they say that it rains and turns cool for three or four days. This is the only way my bike is getting on the road!!!
  24. The plug wires look OK the rubber has been wet and basically rotted due to moisture on one plug. I have question regarding diaphragm replacement. Besides making sure that the tab on the new diaphragm is in the same location as the old one was is there any other things I need to be aware of? I read something about marking the location of a hole where is this located? Is it the one at the bottom of the slide at the side of the slide?
