bumpy ride

My wife doesn't like to 2 up on my 93 like she did on my 83. She says it is too hard. I have tried to use different pressures in the CLASS as well as in the dampers, but as a driver I didn't notice any difference untill I was riding on a bumpy road, even at slower speeds, it was hitting the bumps so hard it felt unstable. Are there situations that the rear shock gets stuck and it acts like a hard tail? How can I tell?

Tom, if you sit on the back then someone watching the rear fender should see it drop some. I have had some tires that felt harder than others. If I remember right the Dunlops I had once seemed really hard.
