JimC Posted Thursday at 04:14 PM #1 Posted Thursday at 04:14 PM I'm looking at a 2005 Royal star, problem is it has sat a couple of years. Put a new battery in it and it turned over but wouldn't start, we took off air cleaner and sprayed just a touch of starting fluid into it and it started. I'm wondering what problems I might be looking at in getting it running correctly. It has 45000 miles on it and seems to have been taken pretty good care of before he was unable to ride anymore. I'm trying to decide if it would be worth considering it or not. Thanks for any advice

RDawson Posted Thursday at 10:04 PM #3 Posted Thursday at 10:04 PM Carb cleaning, check tank for rust, check/flush all fluids at a minimum. It all depends on the price and how much work you’re willing to do. Check date codes on the tires.
guns_usn_20 Posted yesterday at 01:57 AM #4 Posted yesterday at 01:57 AM I own a 07 RSTD. I would do what ever it takes to get it running. With that milage I would ride it. I have 124,000 on mine it still runs great.
