MGM Grand

To all Active Military, Retired and Veterans, The MGM Grand in Las Vegas provides free parking at the following Casinos.

MGM Grand Mandalay Bay Excalibur New York-New York Luxor Treasure Island Mirage Tropicana Bellagio.

Casino parking used to be free several years ago, but no more. The MGM Grand has purchased 8 of the various local hotel parking garages and now charges for parking. Soon the other parking garages followed and charges for casino parking also.

What you need to do is bring your military ID or a copy of your DD214. Some may question your DD214 for they do not know what the DD214 is. Just explain that the DD214 is the ultimate military ID where all other VA benefits and ID are issued from.

Go to The MGM casino cashier or the MGM hotel receptionist and ask for a Players Card and show them you’re Military ID. They will issue you a Players Card with a Military & Veterans Program stamp on your Players Card.

When you enter parking gate, push the button to receive your parking garage ticket. When you exit, put the parking garage ticket into the appropriate slot. When the amount is displayed, put your Players Card into the same slot. The Gate will rise up to exit.

When requesting your Players Card, ask which casino parking garages honor this Military player’s card, for MGM may have purchased other casino parking garages. Get this list and transpose the list onto a map for quick reference.

When I went to Old Town Las Vegas I knew I would have to pay for parking. What I did was ask if the Casino validated parking for military. First one said no, but I did not give up. Everywhere I played or purchased something I asked if they validated parking for military. One did and I showed them my Military MGM player’s card. I gave them the parking garage ticket and they scanned it. When I went to exit the gate listed up and away I went.

Also everywhere you do business, always ask if they provide a military discount. I always received a 10% to 15% discount. I was really surprised how Las Vegas business supports Veterans, but you need to ask. This card saved me about $150.00.

I saved $1,000 by not going to the casinos... just saying.

btw. good on them for giving veteran's discounts

So far after 3 visits to Las Vegas over 12 years, I'm $800.00 to the good.

Key is to quit when one is ahead and not get greety.

I only play Ultimate Texas Hold'em, where everyone plays against the dealer like Black Jack.
