Gumout Testing

My favorite gas additive fuel injector cleaner which I also use in my bikes is Gumout for high mileage engines with PEA. I've used enough of it to be convinced it does not harm bike carbs. I just saw this test report on a F150 site.

I know Gumout works great. Was always hesitant to use as I just assumed it was too harsh.

I've put a whole bottle of Gumout for high mileage engines in one 3 1/2 gallon tank and run it through my Kawasaki and it didn't hurt the carbs. It didn't completely clean them either so I did have to clean the jets and emulsion tubes mechanically. I had let it sit for over a year without draining the carbs.

When I get one like that I do a 1/2 & 1/2 mix of Sea Foam and gas several times over a few days. Had good luck with it . Usually ruins a set of plugs but works.
