A friend of mine had an older KZ1000 police bike with a similar unit added by who ever did the Police bike upgrades. Its a rub wheel that is spring loaded, so when you push the button the motor turns the gear against the spring and the assemble rotates, when it contacts the tire the arm can't move any further so the energy is transfered to the scrub roller which turns the tire. These things are called 'CARAVAN MOVERS" I've seen them for sale between 900 Euros and $1200 AU new. maybe a few used ones on Fleabay or elsewhere.
