garyS-NJ Posted August 6, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 6, 2016 I read somewhere that a mk2 or 2nd gen rear brake master will bolt onto a mk1.. True?? Else where can I get a rear brake master cylinder rebuild kit? My rear brake is soft and fluid leaking from the boot. The rear master cylinder piston was seized...and I took the piston out and cleaned but perhaps it needs s rebuild kit (hoping the master cylinder bore isn't gaulled) Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Patmac6075 Posted August 6, 2016 Share #2 Posted August 6, 2016 I got my rebuild kit on eBay, although it was quite expensive (I seem to remember around $60). My master looked like it was full of chicken fat and my brakes were almost nonexistent, but it cleaned up really nice. I also rebuilt both my calipers and added stainless hoses and HH pads...like night and day difference. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
