Upgrade-F4 Windshield

Last weekend we took a long ride to southern Utah and the buffeting was uncomfortable for Jan. This week I decided to add a larger windshield to help.

 

I added the large, tinted shield with the vent. I thought I had the stock windshield and the F4 windshield was going to be 2" taller. When I compared the new one to the current windshield it was about 5-6" taller.

 

It looks great on the bike and reduces the wind a lot. I still need to get Jan to test it out.

Got Jan on the bike last night for a short ride and what a difference the new windshield made for her. No ringing in the ears from the wind rushing by and the buffeting in way down (never going to go away unless we use the cage)

 

Ready for our trip to Mt Rushmore in September!

The trip to Mt. Rushmore was fantastic!

 

We fought headwinds on the way east of the first part of the trip and again on our way west on I90 between Sturgis and Sheridan, WY. The windshield protected us very well and Jan had no issues at all during the entire trip. http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=88888

 

I think I'll be in big trouble if I ever try to change the shield out.
