RAECOREP Posted July 29, 2014 #1 Posted July 29, 2014 Hello, New to VR.Org. Hope I put this in right place, Has anyone found a good replacement for the seal around the trunk lid on 1st gen VR's? I put in 3/8" foam cord from local building supply and it worked great for about a day. All rattling went away and no more rubbing of lid and trunk. Now it is completely compressed in groove, allowing them to rub again. I can't find any dealers on line that carry it. All say "not available". Any suggestions?
MasterGuns Posted July 29, 2014 #2 Posted July 29, 2014 On one of my past 1st gens that had the same trunk issue I used the plastic stuff used to hold screen in place (the stuff that goes around the edge of a window screen). Sold the a couple years later and all was still good with the trunk.

RAECOREP Posted July 30, 2014 Author #4 Posted July 30, 2014 Thanks guys, I did buy some but was too big. I'll have to try a smaller diameter.
