muaymendez1 Posted May 2, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2014 My decel popping may be exhaust leak after all. I have been messing with pilot mixture screws for 2weeks to try abd solve this issue. Today I got popping in the right pipe but raspy sounds from the left. I put my hands around the exhaust, I can't feel where tge air is escaping but I hear it clearly when throttling up. Very evident from left side. In searching for leak I noticed the left grab rail has worked a screw loose and my right front highway peg has a screw that is backing out. Where should I start looking? It was not apparent this morning when I parked it at work. Tonight I hear the taspy sound of exhaust leak
Peder_y2k Posted May 2, 2014 Share #2 Posted May 2, 2014 Exhaust 'header' to down pipe. This is where most leaks occur first. -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA
muaymendez1 Posted May 2, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted May 2, 2014 I found it. It's leaking at the muffler joint.
