With these very helpful links I decided to attempt my mod but a little different...I had an old Vstar 1100 headlight assembly that I thought might work .this would give replacement headlight easier access than the above posts which still had you glue in replacement lens..This with 3 screws is replaceable.This still keeps all stock adjusments available

I also had a extra RSV assembly to play with..using above posts instructions it went good, then I trimmed remaining ring to fit inside Vstar ring. I had cut mount tabs off but had to cut RSV ring to fit inside Vstar...Mig welded it together..silicone glue around to seal weather and now to replace broken lightbulb or lens its a matter of remove fairing , undo 3 screws assembly comes out to replace parts..No more $$$ for complete RSV light..I can use any 7" light ..ie trucklite led, adzure ice etc..$40 for ring plus rsv light is cheap mod ..This also will let you use e code headlight ...http://www.headlightservices.com/Headlamps.html

Thanks for the bottom headlight link, I will be replacing the sealed beam on my '79 ElectraGlide and either Cibie E code or the Hella below it will work out great

Your welcome..I would like hear how good they are..mine is a Bosch type..cibie and hella in the old days along with marchal were the lights to put on your car as fog and rally lights
