MasterGuns Posted September 4, 2013 #1 Posted September 4, 2013 Just replaced all four spark plug caps on the 92 VR. Main reason is that what the PO had his mechanic install are not NGK. As a matter of fact the caps don't even have a name on them other than what I suspect is the part number. 2 and 3 has TD T-139, 1 and 4 has TD T-131. Does anyone know who made these spark plug caps and if so, are these also 5000 ohm like the OEM caps are suppose to be? Just would like to know. Oh yeah, they also say "Made is Japan" (like everything else). Are these Nippondenso or another brand? I'd like to think I did good replacing them with the correct caps. Also cut each plug wire back about 1/4 inch.
Prairiehammer Posted September 4, 2013 #2 Posted September 4, 2013 (edited) Actually, I believe the TD (Tokai-Denso) caps are OEM and the NGK are aftermarket. Edited September 4, 2013 by Prairiehammer
