Link to Porsche??

Legend has it said that Porsche designed the V4 engines used in Venture / VMAX.

 

Is this a myth or is it the truth? Can anybody confirm if it's true or not, and if possible, provide a literature (book, web, link etc)??

Don't know if Porsche had any input on the V4.

But they did work with HD on the Evolution frame. And the water cooled engine was designed by Honda for HD.

I do believe it was Porsche who assisted with development of the Vrod's Revolution engine with HD.

Not heard that about the Venture, but I thought I heard that they helped develop the shaft drive in the Yamaha Maxim, wish I had more than hearsay on that tho. But that would at least link Porsche with Yamaha.

It is my understanding that Yamaha designed and built the High Output engines for the first SHO Taurus Fords.

Yep. And the 5 speed tranny was from Mazda - Ford had a big stake in Mazda at the time.
