bill04 Posted February 21, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2008 Just want to share some info on how to make your own POI'S .Here are three little programs that work nicely . 1: ([POI Harvester), this one will collect data from google or Yahoo, you type the name of what your looking for , the zip code of the area and the radius in miles and then you save it in a csv file whit Excel. 2: (csvedsetup)to make corrections and keep data on four columns e,g ( Hampton Inn City / State Lattitude longitude ) 3: (Poi Edit) to make any conversion to the make or model of GPS that you have .This one is easy to get on the web. 86er Posted February 21, 2008 Share #3 Posted February 21, 2008 I'm not real computer literate, so I have a couple of questions. How much memory will these programs take up in my laptop? I went to POI Factory and when I opened this file on mc roads it asked if I wanted to open with excel. I saved the file but now I have to figure out what to do with it?!
