Progressive Rear Shock

Recommended Posts

The only thing Progressive suspension makes that fits the RSV and RSTD is front fork springs.

As far as I know your choices for a rear shock are Works, Hagon, YSS and the OEM shock. I ended up buying a Hagon. Search rear shock, titles only, should get you lots of reading to decide what will work best for you.

I checked the Progressive site and they don't show a 420 series shock for any Japanese motorcycles! They do show a 425 series shock for the Yamaha Rhino ATV. I wonder if the Whitney people got their type of vehicle confused.

I just noticed too that the J.C. Whitney ad shows a picture of a rear shock under the heading of fork springs!!! Doesn't give me any confidence!

JC Whitney has a listing for a 2006 XVZ1300 Midnight venture for a rear progressive shock, 420 series.

Price is defiantly right.

I'll contact progressive and ask them whats up.

The part number listed in the JC Whitney link is for fork springs for 112.00. Note the JCW header is generic and includes fork springs in the title.
