Thanks Richie R Thought I remember someone posting about using Harley slash cuts. Also Bub sells different tips but pricy...... I took my tips to a shop here in town that professionally polishes metals. He ground the remaining chrome off, but admitted it was a PITA and wore out an 80 grit belt. Anyway the end product was really nice. I just dropped off a set of billet air filter covers and this time he's sending them out to a chromer to have them stripped. Here's a before and after. Thinking of having them polished out and maybe starting an exchange service. Seems like flaking Bubb tips are a huge problem.... By downsizing I mean what I didn't take with me in the trailer I put into 5x7 storage! Not much of a pack rat and I guess the tips did not make the cut!
