That is a good read, unfortunately for me - it's too long. Not that it's uninformative, quite the contrary, however, not being an engineer of any type, most of it is greek to me.

 

I did glean a few particulars that were interesting - Thanks for posting

Thanks for the link. I too thought it was a little long... short attention span.... but still worth coping the text to a .doc file and saving it for future info....

To sum up what was said in the article:

 

Use the proper weight oil from your owners manual.

 

Use the lowest viscosity spread in a multi weight oil.

 

Use full synthetic.

 

Change it often.
