Any suggestion to boost ipod volumne on ear buds/RSTD/No Shield

I really want to hear Santana/Dave Clark Five/ Conway/Ten Years on my ipod/ear buds heading down the highway doin what a Royal Star does best. I wear a half helment with no front shield so the wind tends to drown out the high and lows. Any suggestion to get that music inside my head. Are there rheostats etc to increase ear bud volume. Ipod volume setting on these Sony ear buds ($85) is a joke when on the road.

I have not tried them myself,player works great through the RSV stereo, but I have seen Volume Amplifier apps for a buck... just a suggestion.

Here's a link to the one's I use. They have an additional inline volume control that really helps. They sound great too.

Cycle gadgets sell a pocket amp for $30. Uses 2AA batteries. I have had one for about 6 years. I used before getting the Venture, now I use it sometimes when cutting the grass.
