juggler Posted October 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 21, 2007 Back on June 10th a drunk driver made a left turn across Hwy 61 and killed a Bloomington, MN couple on their motorcycle. The drunk (at 0.20 BAC) is now being charged with 6 counts of vehicular manslaughter and other charges. He is looking at 10 years per homicide charge. Let's hope for the max. http://www.twincities.com/localnews/ci_7231041 It is about time that serious charges and jail time get handed down for killing people while driving drunk. muffinman Posted October 21, 2007 Share #3 Posted October 21, 2007 Thanks Juggler I am glad that the proscuters are finally getting serious with people that kill motorcycle riders. Jeff
VTirelli Posted October 21, 2007 Share #4 Posted October 21, 2007 Just had a drunk going the wrong way on a local Parkway for about 3 miles hit a car head on and kill the driver. Right now he's charged with Vehicular manslaughter but he's probably looking at Murder 2 since the DA in that county was able to convict another drunk in a similar situation a few years ago. We'll see.

We'll see. It's about time. I've been advocating second degree murder charges for drunk driving deaths for a few years now.
