Basic intercom question from a newbie

Hello everyone

I'm new to the RSV and have a basic question about the intercom. We currently have the Chatterbox wireless. I would like to connect these headsets to the RSV intercom system. I assume we simply need two cables to connect from the helmet to the intercom jack? Anything else that might cause problems?

Yup. Dynamic versus electret microphones. Without adapter circuitry it wont work.

It's cheaper to buy the $65.00 each headsets off ebay if you are not an electronics tech that can solder and wire up components.

 

Otherwise get some connectors, some 9 volt regulators, and a pair of capacitors and wire up a electret power system to power the microphones and the 10uf capacitors will block the 9v DC from getting into the bike's intercom and frying it.
